DIY Camo Headboard

DIY Camo Headboard. OneBlessedChicky.com

A few weeks ago my husband decided that he wanted to make a headboard for the queen sized bed in our guest bedroom. He asked me if I had any ideas for it. Neither one of us had done anything like this before, so of course, I pointed him towards Pinterest. If you've ever read my blog before, you know I'm a Pinterest junkie (Yes, I admit it).

In his search for a DIY headboard, hubby came across some really great ideas. He's been fascinated with the old barn wood theme lately, so that's where he began his search. That search led him to some really neat DIY headboard pins.

In the end, he took several of the pins he found and put them together to create this fabulous camouflage headboard. I don't have a complete tutorial as of this right now, but I did take a few photos along the way. (And I even helped cut the RealTree camo material). So, here you go, in picture form... the DIY Camo Headboard for queen sized bed.

I'm sure if anyone is interested enough, I can probably get my hubby to give more details about how he made this headboard. I think it turned out really nice. Now, the only left in the guest room is to put out some deer and wildlife decor.

As always, go with God, and God will go with you!

Until next time,

Master Bedroom Mood & Color

Two years ago, my husband and I purchased some acreage about 10 miles northeast of the town we are living in. Living out in the country had been a dream of ours for over 25 years. Getting the acreage was the first step. Now, 2 years later, we are in the final preparations of finally putting a home out there.

One of the things I love about Pinterest is all of the home ideas I'm finding. With moving into our new home just months away, I'm searching frantically for wall decor ideas, bedroom colors, kitchen organization ideas, and so much more.

In today's post, I'm going to show a few bedroom ideas that I have found on Pinterest. I have always had white or off-white walls in my bedroom (yawn...boring), so coming in to the new home, I want to add some color. Here are the lovely bedroom colors I have found:

So, there you have it! I guess the "mood" I'm trying to achieve in the Master Bedroom is more of a romantic one. I'm not going to get too "bold" in my colors, yet I want a change from the drab, boring white and off-white walls. I'm welcome to any ideas you might have, so feel free to comment :)

Have a blessed day,
